Many exhibitors develop new products specifically for introduction at JIMTOF, which is widely regarded by industry insiders around the world as the premier platform for introducing state-of-the-art technologies.

JIMTOF features more than 80,000 square meters of world-class exhibits ranging from the world’s fastest integrated machine tools to state-of-the-art software and peripherals.

JIMTOF 2008, the previous fair, hosted a record 142,408 visitors*, despite being held at a time when the global economy was rapidly deteriorating. Even as competing tradeshows continue to be significantly impacted by the state of the economy, each JIMTOF fair in recent years has welcomed at least 100,000 visitors, bolstering its reputation for having a consistent ability to attract visitors.

JIMTOF 2008 featured 8,366 visitors* from 63 countries and regions worldwide. The fair attracted twice as many visitors from major machine tool consumers Germany and China as JIMTOF 2006, and the number of visitors from emerging markets such as India and Russia continues to increase with each iteration as JIMTOF attracts attention as a gateway to overseas markets.

Some 26% of visitors have authority to make product purchasing decisions, and about 50% are involved with technology and design or production and manufacturing. The fair provides exhibitors with an opportunity not only to conduct negotiations that have a direct bearing on future orders, but also to promote their products and services to an audience of individuals who work in the manufacturing field and to gather valuable information.
